Circle of Excellence award-winner Katherine Brown has what it takes to successfully serve clients on both sides of a transaction. Prior to beginning her successful career in real estate, Katherine worked in the corporate world as an executive assistant to some of Houston’s top executives. She was involved in very complex, high-end business negotiations where she developed exceptional organizational capabilities and the skills to professionally interact with individuals at all levels. Katherine has also been a small business owner, and that entrepreneurial experience allows her the ability to think creatively for her clients.

Katherine attended the University of Houston where she studied business administration. She worked as an administrative assistant to a Texas state senator prior to entering the corporate world. On the corporate side, her industry experience has provided her with a special knowledge of the commercial real estate development, management consulting, energy and banking arenas.

The enthusiasm Katherine has for helping people achieve their real estate goals is evident upon first meeting. A firm believer that real estate should be about more than just closing a transaction, Katherine’s passion for building and maintaining strong relationships reassures clients that she will remain a valuable resource. She says, “Every client is like a calling card. When you provide exceptional service . . . word gets around.”

A resident of the historic Houston Heights, Katherine and her husband also own a 100-year old farmhouse in Round Top, Texas, where she enjoys assisting clients who are selling or purchasing country properties. Katherine is involved in a number of professional and philanthropic organizations. She has served in various board positions leading to her role as president of Executive Women International, and she is a former member of Young Presidents’ Executive Assistants. Katherine is a member of several networking organizations and is a member of the United Way Women’s Initiative.
