As a horse Leader, I lead the horse during the class, making sure the horse, rider and Sidewalkers are safe; I also groom, tack up, and warm up the horse prior to each class. 

Houston’s Therapeutic Equestrian Center, is a therapeutic horsemanship program for people with disabilities. They serve approximately 210 clients per week ranging in age from 3 years old to adults. SIRE is a premier accredited center with PATH International, the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International. The MISSION of SIRE is to improve the quality of life for people with special needs through therapeutic horsemanship activities and therapies, and educational outreach. It’s the VISION of SIRE’s therapeutic equestrian centers to provide the highest quality therapeutic horseback riding and related activities to all those who can benefit.
